We
worked with PJ for our holiday photograph and she was wonderful
- with two young children she had to work quickly and efficiently
and she did. The girls loved her and the pictures are beautiful!

P.J. Taylor chronicled
the people and programs of Telegraph Hill Neighborhood Center
(Tel-Hi) over a three-month period. She did an amazing job capturing
the spirit and faces of our work, which was no easy feat since
we work with 600 people daily ranging from preschoolers to senior
citizens. P.J. worked with our program staff to find optimal
moments to photograph and comfortably fit right in with our
children and seniors. It was a pleasure working with a photographer
who took such great interest in the work we do at Tel-Hi and
her photographs reflect the special community she discovered
here. The photographs were used in a video for our annual fundraising
dinner, marketing materials, and printed on poster board to
hang in our community room. We thank P.J. for helping us share
our work with others through her amazing photographs.
Donna Faure - Director of Development:
Our organization was
seeking a photographer for a full-day photo shoot which included
outdoor scenic shots and candid and posed photos of our current
residential Fellows and staff. PJ Taylor's photography style
and approach to taking photos was a great match for our project.
She went above and beyond, visiting our location in advance
and working with us during a very special but also very long
day of shooting. The resulting set of photos are being used
for a variety of Center communication projects. We're thrilled
we selected PJ Taylor as our photographer!

“Both PJ and
her photos were fantastic. Super professional and easy to work
with, even with a belly my size. She was patient with my tempermental
two year-old and had plenty of ideas about how to get the whole
family involved.”

Dear PJ, I just want
to thank you for the wonderful job you did creating the Christmas
card of Lola Mae and me.. All the pictures you took were great
but I think we picked out the best four.. All my friends and
family loved the card. Many used it as an ornament on their
Christmas tree. Looking forward to creating many more in the
future.

Think back to the worst,
most micromanaging photographer. Horrible contorted poses? barking
directions? holding your head in uncomfortable positions for
minutes on end, and pressing a fake smile across your face?.
A session with PJ is the antithesis of that experience. When
we worked with PJ, she came in and appeared to casually snap
some shots. As if taking amazing pictures were easy. And the
results were nothing short of breath taking. Somehow, without
obsessing, or overly manipulating the situation, she captured
what she needed.
The pictures of our
daughter are magical. And the best part is that the process
was so pleasant. PJ is just hanging out in the room with you.
She may offer a suggestion, or try new things, but for the most
part, she is just there with you. There are no pretensions or
high brow airs to the session.
When PJ showed us the
proofs, I was speechless. I saw the spirit of my family, captured
in an honest and casual way. And best of all, the pictures make
it look like we "look that good" everyday, effortlessly.
She reflected our "good side" without asking us to
change. What she gave us are priceless keepsakes.

I have hired PJ for
the past two years to take our annual family photographs. We
have used her shots for our holiday cards, and we have received
numerous compliments on the photographs. PJ somehow made us
look better on (digital) film than we do in real life!
PJ is very flexible
and easy to work with. She has an impressive ability to put
her photo subjects at ease, even small children, allowing her
to capture tender, unguarded moments of joy. PJ will work with
you on location, incorporating the beauty of the outdoors into
the portrait photographs. Most of all, PJ exudes a genuine love
for photography and people – a synthesis that results
in intimately artistic photographs that you will treasure for
a lifetime.

We contracted with
PJ to photograph our annual conference of over 1000 people.
She was fabulous to work with. She understood our goals, asked
really good questions, and provided us with expert advice that
helped us fine tune what we were asking for. It was a very important—and
stressful—day for us so we were particularly appreciative
of how easy she was to work with. The photos were absolutely
beautiful and we continue to use them on our website and in
our marketing collateral. I would most definitely hire her again.
